The Devadasi Project continues to improve the lives of impoverished girls in India. This is an update from the recent trip to India in summer of 2017.

‘Update from our last trip in July 2017’

God is good, we had a blessed and productive trip. This summer we had the opportunity to purchase all the necessities for the girls home that we are currently renting. This includes a new refrigerator and a new washer/dryer machine.

This summer a new program was launched in the villages through which women and young girls can learn a new skill of survival to generate their own income. Through the program, they are currently learning how to sow clothes but soon we plan to teach them how to operate on computers.

We have also began working with hostel children who have been hurt and abandoned by their parents or never had the chance to meet their parents. They live in the slums, in the midst of filth and garbage with little hope for a better future. But God is using the local believers to help these children. They gather daily in a small shed where they receive educational help as well as learn about Christ.  We were able to provide a washing/dryer machine for them as well as new refrigerator. They also received new clothes and other necessities needed for them to live.

We are still in the process of finding land because land is extremely expensive in India

Our Goal is to raise $150K to get this project going.

We have a vision to build this center, and have it be a place of hope for many who are oppressed, so we believe where there is a vision provision will come.

We want to thank you for your supportnone of this would be possible without your prayers and your generous donations. Please continue to pray for this ministry
