A trip to Hyderabad India

to meet & help the local orphanage children

Hyderabad is the capital of Telangana in Southern India, located on the banks of the Musi River and on the Deccan Plateau.

With 9.75 million people living in Hyderabad it makes it the 4th largest populated city in India, and the 2nd largest poor populace in India.

There has been a steep 264% increase in Hyderabad’s slum population in and around the city in the last decade, with 30% of the city’s people believed to live in a slum in 2016.

Hyderabad has the 2nd largest population of urban poor in cities in India – at 27% of people. This means out of 100 Hyderabadis, 27 are poor. If you take this percentage from the total number of people, this means nearly 3 million people are poor and live in the slums.

That’s 3 with six 0’s – 3,000,000 people.

The Mission Trip 2018 and beyond

GEC Group

We will meet and help at least 3,000 kids that our partner in India has arranged for. We partner with Jacob and try to help his orphanage as much as we can year after year. This year we are taking some of our children from GEC to meet not only his orphaned children but also other children living on the streets of Hyderabad. We would like to show our American youth how the youth of India are living today. We are hoping they can develop a lasting relationship and help each other grow, especially the community in Hyderabad.

Here is how you can help,

  1. To help care for 1 orphan and provide school supplies and some clothing for 1 year it only takes $60 US dollars. We would like to sponsor as many kids as we can with your help.
  2. With your help we would like to gather at least $1 dollar for the 3,000 children we are meeting to present them with a small gift. We hope this will touch their heart to show they are not alone and there are many people who care.
  3. We can also build wells throughout the area for the locals to have a clean drinking water. We have built quite a few throughout the last several years. Each well cost around $1000 to dig and construct. We can also make a video of your well being constructed and have it dedicated in your name. These wells are called Jesus Wells.

Thank you so much for your generosity and may God bless you in all you do.
